9-1 LA Dodgers Odds to Win 2012 World Series Slashed: Bizarre Triple Play

The impressive 9-1 start by the LA Dodgers has led online bookmaker Sportsbook.com to slash their odds of winning the 2012 World Series from 45/1 to 20/1 in a matter of one week.

Then there’s this:  Matt Kemp (who already has 6 home runs) was originally installed with 20/1 odds to hit the most homers this season.  Now he’s the 5/1 favorite.

On Sunday, the Dodgers managed to turn a bizarre triple play in the top of the ninth inning before Dee Gordon singled home the winning run in the bottom half of a 5-4 win over the San Diego Padres.  It was 4-all when the Dodgers turned their first triple play since June 13, 1998, against Colorado.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
