The baseball playoffs are less than 20 games away and many of the participants are set.

However, there are still some relatively tight races in the AL East and Central, as well as the NL Wild Card spots.

Below are a variety of playoffs lines from BetOnline.ag.

Divisional Odds

Odds to Win the 2024 AL East

New York Yankees                        -170

Baltimore Orioles                         +140

Note: Odds give Yankees a 63% likelihood of winning the division.

Odds to Win the 2024 AL Central

Cleveland Guardians                    -375

Kansas City Royals                     +350

Minnesota Twins                          +1400

Note: Odds give Guardians a 79% likelihood of winning the division.

Playoff Odds

Despite winning nine of ten games and tying the Braves for the third Wild Card spot in the National League, the Braves are a big favorite over the Mets to make the Wild Card.

Granted, they both still can make it, but the Padres and D’Backs are significant favorites to earn a Wild Card spot.

The Braves have ten remaining games against teams with a winning record and all ten are at home. Meanwhile, the Mets have 13 games against winning team and nine of them are on the road.

Atlanta Braves to make the Playoffs

Yes        -275

No         +215

Note: Odds indicate a 73.3% likelihood of the Braves making the playoffs.

New York Mets to make the Playoffs

Yes       +110

No          -140

Note: Odds indicate a 58.3% likelihood of the Mets missing the playoffs.

On the American League side of the Wild Card spots, it seems like a foregone conclusion that the Orioles/Yankees, Royals, and Twins will get the three spots.
There are four teams on the outside looking in with long shots to earn a spot in the playoffs, where anything can happen. Ask Texas and Arizona!

The oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag created this fun prop for the outsiders.

Will either of Boston, Detroit, Seattle, or Tampa make the American League Playoffs?

Yes       +400

No          -600

Note: The odds indicated an 85.7% likelihood these teams will all be watching the playoffs from home.
