PITCHING MATCHUP: Athletics RH Chris Bassitt (0-1, 4.44 ERA) vs. Tigers RH Anibal Sanchez (2-2, 7.00)

Bassitt has a horrendous outing his last appearance, allowing six runs on nine hits, including two homers, in five frames versus Toronto.  He had two solid starts prior but failed to obtain the win due to the lack of run support.

Sanchez has yet to make it through six innings and gave up seven runs – six earned – and nine hits over 2 1/3 frames in a loss to Cleveland on Saturday.  He is 1-2 with a 3.83 ERA in six career starts against Oakland.

The Athletics are 1-6 in Bassitts last 7 road starts.
