Betting Baseball – The Hot Sheet: July 5

Gambling911.com has your FREE BASEBALL PICK today after going a dismal 0-2 yesterday.  We are experiencing one of our worst losing trends of the season over these past couple of days, so be forewarned.

BetOnline

Pittsburgh -136 at BetOnline – The Pirates have won 7 of the last 10 games in this series.  Francisco Liriano is 2-1 when starting against Cubs with an ERA of 1.83 and a WHIP of 0.864.  He is 7-3, 2.23 ERA this season thus far.

The 29-year-old Venezuelan allowed only two hits over seven scoreless innings in a 2-0 victory the last time he pitched in Chicago. Liriano has limited opponents to one run or less in seven of 10 starts.

Pittsburgh are 10-2 in their last 12 games overall.  They have the best record in the league right now.

Detroit +123 – Currently riding a 3-game win streak, Detroit arrives in Cleveland as a +123 underdog against a team they have beaten in their last 5 head-to-head matchups.

Rick Porcello is 6-3 when starting against Cleveland with an ERA of 3.87 and a WHIP of 1.311.  Justin Masterson is 2-7 when starting against Detroit with an ERA of 5.45 and a WHIP of 1.742.

The Tigers are 14-5 in Porcello's last 19 starts after allowing 2 runs or less in their previous game.

Small bet here as Porcello is on a 3-game losing streak and Masterson has been pitching especially well.  Something has to give though and past history suggests it will happen in this game.
