Key takeaways:

  • The Guardians are a favorite play among some of the top G911 Sports Hub cappers.
  • The Guardians have had issues playing in LA against the Angels.
  • Angels starter Patrick Sandoval has allowed no more than a run in two of his last three starts, and it’s helped lower what was a 6.75 ERA on April 20 to 4.85.  That's also spooked us in regard to backing Cleveland here.

A few good consensus plays from the top sports handicappers at the G911 Sports Hub are available Friday May 24, 2024.

Cleveland Guardians -110 @ Angels

While it's true our newest top-of-the-leaderboard holder Al Grant is on the Angels in this one, two othe top 10 cappers do like Cleveland here.

These teams have split wins and losses over their last ten games though the Angels went 3-1 the last meeting in LA.

Logan Allen threw six shutout innings, struck out seven and picked up the win in the Guardians’ 11-4 victory over the Twins on Saturday.

Before that, he scattered six hits over six innings and combined with three relievers on the Guardians’ 7-0 shutout of the White Sox on Sunday.

Patrick Sandoval allowed just a run over six innings while not factoring into the decision Saturday against the Rangers.  But, before that, he did give up four runs on 11 hits over his six innings of work.

His last start did mark the second time in three starts that the southpaw has allowed no more than a run, and it’s helped lower what was a 6.75 ERA on April 20 to 4.85.

The Cleveland Guardians have a 7-5 record as favorites on the road this season.

For us here at Gambling911.com, this one doesn't have a whole lot of appeal.

Emmanuel Clase is Only the 10th Closer to Accomplish This Feat

"Emmanuel Clase has a 0.39 ERA and 13 saves through his first 24 appearances this season. He’s the 10th pitcher ever and first since Fernando Rodney in 2016 to have 13+ saves and an ERA of 0.50 or lower through the first 24 appearances of a season." - Source: SI.com

Under 9.5 Brewers/Red Sox

Red Sox right-hander Kutter Crawford may only be 1-2 in five home starts but he has an impressive enough 2.73 ERA.  Crawford has also held opponents to a .224 batting average at Fenway.

Bryse Wilson allowed two runs while throwing 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Astros on Saturday. Wilson yielded two runs in four-plus innings before that.

Crawford only allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Cardinals on Saturday.
