Consensus Handicapper Plays for May 29 - MLB
Key takeaways:
|
The G911 Sports Hub consensus cappers are on three plays today, most notably the Twins, followed by the Yankees and Cubs.
Twins
Minnesota has won four of the last five in this series with the line set at Twins -132.
S. Lugo - KC
(8-1, 1.74)
B. Ober - MIN
(5-2, 4.33)
Seth Lugo has allowed 15 hits in 60 at bats versus the Twins current roster. He allowed two earned runs and struck out 10 in 5 2/3 innings and picked up the win against the Athletics before that start.
The Royals have pounded Bailey Ober (.353). They have 25 hits off him in 68 at bats with 17 RBIS and 5 homers.
ber threw five innings of two-run ball for the win as the Twins edged the Rangers 3-2 on Friday.
The Over could be a good play here.
Mike Williams 6-1Capper Mike Williams has gone on a nice run, winning six straight plays before suffering a loss on Tuesday. He's among those backing the Twins Wednesday evening. |
Yankees
The Yankees were coming in as -200 favorites playing at the Angels.
Cubs
The Cubs vs. Brewers line had Chicago at -146.
Shota Imanaga (5-0, 0.84 ERA) does not have a loss yet, but is this is still a situation where he's due for a win. He did not factor into the decision his last two starts.
The Cubs sit right at the .500 mark. They'll be taking on the Milwaukee Brewers, who are 31-22. These teams have mostly split wins and losses over their last ten meetings. Chicago was on a five-game losing streak coming into Tuesday night's game however.
As good as Imanaga is, he'll probably have to go deep to have any shot at a win due to the recent Cubs bullpen woes. Imanaga is more than capable of making it into the 7th inning.
Bryse Wilson starts for Milwaukee. He's faced these Cubs on 60 occasions, giving up just one home run.
Chicago does look like the play here.
