Best Bets: N/A

Best DFS Picks: Matt Kemp, Yangervis Solarte, Justin Upton

Pitching Matchup: Diamondbacks RH Chase Anderson (0-0, 5.40 ERA) vs. Padres RH Brandon Morrow (0-0, 0.00)

This one features San Diego as a -128 home favorite and Arizona at +120.  The total is 6.5 though five of the last seven in this series have gone OVER that number.  It is interesting to note that four of the last six games in this series that featured a 6.5 total did stay UNDER

The starting pitching matchup doesn’t tell us much as to a possible outcome for either the winner or total.  Morrow made his only career start versus Arizona in 2010 and is coming off a game in which he yielded four singles.

Anderson settled for a no-decision in Friday’s 4-3 but his performance against some Padres players should have daily fantasy aficionados mouths watering.

Jedd Gyorko is 3-for-6 against Anderson, Yangervis Solarte is 2-for-5 and Matt Kemp is 4-for-7 with a homer and two RBIs.

Kemp has an ERA of .368 this season and Solarte went 3-for-4 with a walk and an RBI against the Giants on Saturday.  Gyorko has been absent for three straight days having batted just .143/.217/.190.

Justin Upton has been on fire for San Diego and is priced at $3.9K.   He walked and hit a solo home run in four plate appearances as the Padres defeated the Diamondbacks 5-1 on Tuesday.

The slugger has hit in all nine games to start the season and is now batting .303 with two home runs and six RBI and it is fair to say he’s a pretty safe pick for your daily fantasy roster.
