The Mets, the proverbial winner (outside of the Dodgers) of the last few offseasons, have once again faltered miraculously.
And with that comes the firing of their manager, Carlos Mendoza.
This year is the 40th anniversary of the Mets’ last World Series winning team. Next year will be 41.
