The Diamondbacks are currently among our top ranked teams in the Major League Baseball according to our daily MLB rankings for August 10.

  1. San Diego Padres
  2. Arizona Diamondbacks
  3. Minnesota Twins
  4. New York Yankees
  5. Kansas City Royals
  6. San Francisco Giants
  7. Baltimore Orioles
  8. Boston Red Sox
  9. Milwaukee Brewers
  10. New York Mets
  11. St. Louis Cardinals
  12. Tampa Bay Rays
  13. Houston Astros
  14. Chicago Cubs

Arizona is in a good spot here hosting a Phillies team that has struggled in recent weeks.  While Arizona 8-2 over their last ten games, Philadelphia is 4-6.

There are signs the Phillies are starting to get their act together has they have won four of their last six.

Arizona Diamondbacks career statistics vs. Aaron Nola are .241 with 35 hits in 145 at bats.  Kevin Newman is 4-for-9 against him with two RBI's.

Philadelphia Phillies career statistics vs. Zac Gallen are .270. They have 30 hits in 111 at bats, 12 RBI's,  Bryce Harper is 8-for-17 against him.

Gallen surrendered five runs over seven innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Guardians.  He had a win prior to that.

Philadelphia does have five or more hits in their last seven games while Arizona has five or more in seven of their last ten games.  The series, however, has mostly stayed Under.
