In their first game Thursday, the Little League team from Boerne, Texas beat Pennsylvania, 9-0. Then, in Monday's matchup vs. the Southeast Region champs from Florida, the Southwest Region champs came back from being down 1-0 early to win 4-1.  They now advance to play Nevada. Paseo Verde Little League, out of Henderson, beat favored Hawaii on Monday.

If Texas goes on to beat Nevada in Wednesday's 2 pm EDT game, they move to the U.S. final Saturday.  Their opponent wont be determined until two elimination bracket games are played. This means Texas is one win away from playing for the United States bracket championship at the Little League World Series.

Ace pitcher Julian Hurst notched 10 strikeouts in 78 pitches without a walk, allowing one earned run on three hits in a complete game. While Hurst won't be available to pitch against Nevada due to pitch count rules, he will be able to pitch in the U.S. championship Saturday assuming this team advances.
