Tigers vs. Guardians Under 6 for Game 5?

The Tigers take on the Guardians Saturday in a critical Game 5 of the ALDS. The series is tied 2-2, and the winner advances to the ALCS.  Important: This game will now be starting at 1:08 pm EDT as rain is in the forecast for this evening.

The line on this game has the Tigers -122, Guardians +102; Over/Under is 6 runs and we've seen this total as low as 5.5.

Cleveland is 92-69 overall and 50-30 in home games. The Guardians have gone 68-9 in games when they scored at least five runs.

PITCHING PROBABLES: Tigers: Tarik Skubal (18-4, 2.39 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, 228 strikeouts); Guardians: Matthew Boyd (2-2, 2.72 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 46 strikeouts)

Skubal can pitch deep into the 7th inning.  In 82 at bats, the Guardians only have one RBI against him.

Skubal has already shut out the Guardians for seven innings, striking out eight, in a no-decision in Monday’s Game 2.

Not that Boyd won't present some tough competition.

Tigers have hit four times in 18 at bats against Boyd, though he has not pitched beyond four innings in his last four starts.

Both teams do have solid bullpens.

Five of the last ten games Detroit has played in resulted in Under 5 runs scored while five of the last ten head-to-head games between these two teams have seen five or fewer runs scored.
