These are some good starting pitchers vs. team roster batting analyses for Saturday May 11.

Guardians @ White Sox

Triston McKenzie (24.2%) is the day's top streaming option according to ESPN Fantasy with the Cleveland Guardians visiting the Chicago White Sox. Over his past four starts, McKenzie has posted a 2.57 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP.  This included 25 strikeouts over 21 frames. The White Sox have not been as bad as pundits would have had us believe starting off the season, but they still have one of the least productive lineups in the league.  He's actually had two wins and two losses over a four game stretch where he's been top notch in each of those starts.

The White Sox are 6-4 in the last ten versus the Guardians, so this is not exactly a given, on paper at least.

Ryan Davis and Seth Cohen are two of the top cappers at the G911 Sports Hub on Cleveland at -162 and -158, respectively.

Mike Clevenger has faced this Guardian roster in 52 at bats, permitting 9 hits and 4 RBI's (.173).

Andres Gimenez got him for the two home runs but only has one so far this season.

Yankees @ Rays

From ESPN:

"Nestor Cortes (46.2%) has registered three quality starts over his past four outings. His ERA is 3.08 with a 0.95 WHIP and 27 strikeouts (and just one free pass) in these last 26 1/3 innings. The New York Yankees are in St. Petersburg for a weekend set against AL East rival Tampa Bay. The Rays' offense has been surprisingly below average -- and with an above-average strikeout rate -- so look for Cortes to stay in his groove."

Maybe.

Cortes looked sharp in a no-decision against the Tigers on Sunday, giving up two runs on just three hits over 6 1/3 innings of work.  Prior to that Cortes allowed four runs on eight hits in six innings in a loss to the Orioles on Tuesday.  He's certainly coming into this game hungry for a win.

Cortes is 1-3 with a 3.72 ERA.  The Rays have had eight home runs off of him in 99 at bats with 15 RBIs and three of those who hit two homers each are better than .260 versus Cortes. Amed Rosario has been especially potent vs. the Yankees starter and is currently batting .301.

In Tampa, this head-to-head matchup has remained Under the current total of 8 in three of the last four meetings.

SAS Insider went 10-2 yesterday with their plays and they are on the Under here.

Astros @ Tigers

Six of the last ten games in this series have gone Over the current total of 7.5.

Cristian Javier is 2-0 with a 1.54 ERA.  Javier pitched seven innings of two-run ball for a win against the Rangers before heading to the injury list with neck discomfort.  He returns this day.

Tarik Skubal is 4-0 with a 1.90 ERA for Detroit.

Houston has scored four or more runs in seven of their last ten games overall.  They've allowed more than that in four of their last ten games.

Detroit has permitted five or more runs in six of their last ten games but have hardly been scoring juggernauts.

The Astros bullpen is not very good.  Do take the Over 7.5.
