Rays @ Red Sox

The phenom, Robert Jones (20-4 his last 24 picks) is on Tampa, as is Tonny Ricci, who's dealt with a bit of a rough patch these past few days to knock him off the MLB leaderboard.  Calvin King is on the Rays too.  He's 8-1 with his last nine baseball plays but tends to offer a limited number over a period of time (this record stretches from May 3 as an example).

Aaron Civale is 2-3 with a 5.88 ERA for Tampa.  He was dealt his third loss of the season on Wednesday, giving up two runs on five hits over his 4 2/3 innings of work.  Prior to that he gave up seven runs in a no-decision and before that he was charged for six runs on eight hits over 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the White Sox.

Tampa Bay Rays career statistics vs. Nick Pivetta are 29 for 97 (.299).  Isaac Paredes is four for ten with three home runs against Pivetta.

Tampa has won eight of the last nine meetings vs. Boston.

Tampa really does look like a top play here.

Yankees @ Twins

The Yankees are the only other consensus play but by two cappers who have struggled in recent days.

Carlos Rodon (3-2, 3.56 ERA) has only permitted a single home run out of 100 at bats versus these Twins.

Rodón allowed two runs with seven strikeouts across 6 1/3 innings in a win over the Astros on Wednesday.  Before that he had a bad outing but hadn't given up more than two runs since March 23 prior to this poor start against the Orioles.

Chris Paddack has given up two home runs to Juan Soto in three at bats.

Paddack allowed one run with 10 strikeouts across 5 1/3 innings in a win over the Mariners on Wednesday and had just a pair of hits in his prior start.

We do like the Yankees here.
