The World Series 2011 begins Wednesday with Game 1 betting odds for the Texas Rangers vs. St. Louis Cardinals at -120 Cardinals.

The biggest event in all of Major League Baseball will begin this Wednesday in Game 1 of the World Series. After a couple of great Championship Series in the American League and the National League Texas Rangers will meet St. Louis Cardinals in a seven game series to decide a champion.

“They can make runs on anybody, including the St. Louis Cardinals,” notes Pat Williams of DonBest.com in regard to the Rangers.

Chris Carpenter will be the starting pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals while C.J. Wilson starts for Texas.

"The Rangers are scary. They're a scary team," said Freese, the NLCS MVP. "You look at that lineup, you look at that staff. It's going to be a battle."

"I think we're a team that can match up with them a little bit. And they're confident, we're confident. It's been a tough road. I've definitely been watching the ALCS for sure. That's some good ball over there," he said.
