World Series Game 5 Betting Line: Cardinals vs. Rangers

The World Series Game 5 betting line for the Cardinals vs. Rangers had Texas as a -125 favorite and St. Louis at +115 at Bookmaker.

At the moment, the pitching matchup on Monday for Game 5 of the World Series looks to be Chris Carpenter on the road facing off against left-hander C.J. Wilson. Major League Baseball’s event continues with the St. Louis Cardinals taking on the Texas Rangers at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

ESPN.com notes that, no matter who wins Game 5, the World Series will return to Busch Stadium for Game 6 on Wednesday night.  This would become only the second World Series in eight to make it to at least six games with the last being a Yankees defeat of Philadelphia two years ago.

Here is the video betting preview for Game 5 of the 2011 World Series:

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
