2010 NIT Tournament odds were now available at BetUS.com (see website here).  It is important to note that a lot of online sportsbooks were not posting odds on the NIT Tournament until Tuesday morning.

The NIT Tournament has been getting tons of attention from Gambling911.com readers coming into Game Day Tuesday.

There are some powerhouse teams playing in this tournament.  Let's take a look at a few of these now.

Connecticut was a -7 ½ favorite vs. Northeastern

UConn beat Northeastern by more than the current spread in both 2007 and 2006. Check out these horrendous stats that do not favor Northeastern.

Northeastern is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 vs. Big East.

Northeastern is 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss.

Northeastern is 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.

Northeastern is 0-8 ATS in their last 8 games overall.

Connecticut's stats aren't that much better, however.

They are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. loss.

UConn is 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games as a favorite.

UConn is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.

William & Mary vs. North Carolina odds had the Tar Heels as a -8 ½ favorite.  The last time these two teams met in 2005, North Carolina destroyed William & Mary.

The Tribe has a much better record coming into this one though.

They are 17-4 ATS in their last 21 games as an underdog.

William & Mary is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games following a S.U. loss.

The Tar Heels are 21-5 ATS in their last 26 games as a home favorite of 7.0-12.5.

Tar Heels are 43-18 ATS in their last 61 non-conference games.

North Carolina is 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.

They are 5-15 ATS in their last 20 games overall.

Elsewhere, George Mason is a -1 ½ favorite vs. George Mason and South Florida was a -4 favorite vs. North Carolina State.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
