2011 NBA Playoffs Lines for Sunday’s Games (April 17)
2011 NBA Playoffs lines are now available for the Sunday games, which tip off at 1 pm ET. The underdog covered the spread in the first three of Saturday’s games with Atlanta winning against favored Orlando outright.
The San Antonio Spurs were just 6-point favorites against the Memphis Grizzlies at Bookmaker.com.
As a road underdog of 3.5 to 6 points, the Grizzlies are 9-2 Against The Spread and 12-4 ATS vs. division opponents. Five of six games in this series have gone OVER the total in the last three seasons.
Memphis is 46-36 while the Spurs have the second best record in the league at 61-21. The Grizzlies are 0-12 in the playoffs and are in the postseason for the first time since 2006. Winning one game would make franchise history.
"They played us well the last couple of games," San Antonio’s Tim Duncan said Friday. "They feel they match up well against us. They chose to play us, they got us, and we'll see what happens."
The Los Angeles Lakers were -10 point favorites at Bookmaker.com. The Hornets come into this game with a 46-36 record while the Lakers had one of the best records in the league at 57-25.
Los Angeles swept the regular season series. The Associated Press noted that seven-footers Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum were far too much for the slimmer Hornets to handle.
"Our effort and focus is always to get it down low," Gasol said. "We start off everything from there. We try to do it on a consistent basis, even if it's not always there. Especially against New Orleans, we have to concentrate on our strengths. If we do that and we're successful, it will be a huge help down the road.”
Elsewhere, Boston is a -6 point favorite against New York. As a road underdog of 3.5 to 6 points, the Knicks are an impressive 10-2 Against The Spread.
Oklahoma City is listed with a line of -5.5 vs. Denver.
