UNC will face Oregon for the Final Four next weekend but the bookies really made out big with the Tar Heels failed cover.

North Carolina had been a -2.5 favorite heading into Sunday’s showdown against Kentucky but finished with a two-point victory (75-73), thus allowing the bookies to make out big with the Wildcats seeing less than 40 percent of the action coming into this game.

North Carolina led for most of the game and the Wildcats didn’t get their first lead until 17:35 in the second half when they went up 39-38.

In the second half, seven-foot Australian Isaac Humphries scored 8 of Kentucky’s points in a 10-3 run to grab its biggest lead of the game.

The Wildcats, who had led only 18 seconds of the game, were up 64-59 over UNC with 5:03 left.

Utlimately, UNC marched back down the court and tossed it to sophomore Luke Maye, whose 2-pointer sealed the deal for the Tar Heels.
