Boston Celtics Daily Fantasy Value, Betting Report – February 19
The Boston Celtics daily fantasy value and betting report as we enter into the second half of the 2015 NBA season is examined by Gambling911.com, the official sponsor of the first ever Daily Fantasy Sports Expo in Miami Beach. This is just one of the many new additions to the Gambling911.com site to compliment the second half of the season that we hope will make you a winner whether you’re betting on games or playing daily fantasy NBA.
While it would be easy to write off Boston’s impressive 4-1 record the days leading up to the All Star Break as a simple matter of taking care of some of the worst teams in the league, one of those wins was against Atlanta, arguably the best team in the league. Granted the other wins were versus New York, Denver and Philadelphia.
The great news for daily fantasy players is that Boston will go up against a similar group of misfits when they face off against the LA Lakers, Sacramento and New York again. We won’t even examine the matchup against Charlotte as they are among the slowest paced teams in the league, holding their opponents to the third-fewest points per game. Boston did go 3-2 against their next five opponents in their most recent meetings, beating the aforementioned Lakers, Kings and Knicks. The Celtics did lose to Charlotte and Phoenix. They also lost both of those games Against The Spread, covering the other three.
Phoenix is stumbling of late, though we don’t think Boston will be able to win all three of its upcoming West Coast games. They have played poorly against the Hornets of late. Gambling911.com believes, at the very least, the Celtics will be one game closer to the .500 mark after this five-game stint, though they still have a ways to go at 20-31.
Boston will be on the road against Sacramento, LA and Phoenix, then return home to host the Knicks and Hornets.

Here are your projected salaries and target fantasy points to make value (vary between sites):
Avery Bradley (SG) $4.6K – 26 points
Marcus Smart (PG) $4.7K – 26 points
Evan Turner (SF) $4.8K – 26 points
Brandon Bass (C) $4.8K – 26 points
Jared Sullinger (PF) $6.7K – 35 points
Jared Sullinger - Kelly Olynyk is out with an ankle injury so Sullinger had been getting the brunt of the minutes in his absense. Now Sullinger is out indefinitely with a foot injury.
Avery Bradley – In a perfect world, Bradley should excel over the next four games. Sacramento is dead last at defending shooting guards. The Lakers are pretty much dead last against everyone and the Knicks, well, they allow the 7th most fantasy points to shooting guards. Best part of all, Bradley only needs 26 fantasy points to make value.
That’s easier said than done of course as he failed to make value against Atlanta in his last game before the All Star Break. Such was the case against Milwaukee in the previous game.
Bradley could not get the job done against Sacramento the last time he faced them, nor could he do so against the sad sack Lakers. He certainly made value recently against the Knicks, 8X his value in fact. But do we trust Bradley? Part of the problem is an ankle and hand issue that will bear watching beyond the All Star Break as both are expected to heal. In the meantime, he’s not the most favorable player to target despite what would appear on paper to be favorable matchups.
Sacramento – Neutral
LA Lakers – Neutral
Phoenix – Hold
New York Knicks – Neutral/Go
Charlotte – Hold
Marcus Smart – He did make value in each of his five games prior to a dud versus Atlanta before the break. LA has allowed the most fantasy points to opposing point guards and this is the team we will have our eyes on for Smart despite not having played them the last time Boston met Los Angeles.
Sacramento – Neutral
LA Lakers – Go
Phoenix – Hold
New York Knicks – Neutral
Charlotte – Hold
Evan Turner – Turner was instrumental in one of Boston’s best wins of the season against Atlanta just prior to the All Star Break. He does make his value through rebounds and assists.
Against Sacramento the last time Turner faced the Kings, he racked up over 30 points, and that was coming off the bench!
He had just shy of 20 fantasy points against the Lakers in just over 24 minutes. A similar result occurred versus Phoenix in just 22 minutes.
More recently he started against the Knicks and shot just 5 points but managed to accumulate 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Unfortunately, five turnovers ensured he didn’t come close to value.
The jury is still out on Turner.
Brandon Bass – Bass has been providing solid front court production for the Celtics so far this season. Nevertheless, Bass has failed to make value against any of the three worst teams he’ll be facing coming up in Boston’s last meetings against them.
