Brooklyn Nets Now at 12-1 Odds to Win the 2013 NBA Eastern Conference

The Nets were all over the news on Tuesday July 3, 2012 with confirmation that All-Star point guard Deron Williams is sticking with the Nets. He’ll be joined by
Williams had said he was willing to re-sign with the Nets, assuming they put the right pieces around him.
Just yesterday the Nets acquired All-Star shooting guard Joe Johnson from the Hawks.
Sports Darren Rovell on his Twitter page talked of a prediction Nets billionaire owner made to him upon taking over the NBA Franchise:
Prokhorov told me he's confident the Nets will win a title in his first five years. This upcoming season is Year Three.
Rovell also noted that Monday was the team’s busiest ticket day in 5 years with 75 season tickets sold.
The Nets have relocated to Brooklyn from New Jersey and will play their first game at the new Barclays Center this fall.
With all the great news surrounding the franchise, there was a bit of irony that the arena’s namesake bank is currently in the midst of a mega scandal.
