The Bucknell Connecticut line was coming in at UConn -10 with 65 percent of the betting action on Bucknell spread at BetUS.com.  Nearly everyone betting the total on this game was on the OVER 132.

The Bison are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog.

The Huskies are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games.

The Huskies are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

Most importantly, UConn is just 4-12 Against The Spread  in first round Tournament games since 1997.

Connecticut earned a No. 3 seed by winning five games -- four against ranked teams -- in five days to become Big East champs.  But Bucknell are no slouches.  They beat US President Obama’s favorite Kansas team back in 2005 as a 14th seed when the Jayhawks were a 3rd seed.

"The reason we've been so good is we haven't beaten ourselves," Bucknell coach Dave Paulsen said. "We've played good, solid defense, made team take challenged shots. We haven't turned the ball over, we've made our free throws.

"Those are the types of things that give you a chance to be successful. But against UConn that's magnified times five."

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
