Chicago Bulls Daily Fantasy Value, Betting Report – February 19: Pau Gasol

The Bulls have played some decent basketball of late to maintain their 34-20 Straight Up record in the league. They are just 25-29 Against The Spread though Chicago has covered in six of their last ten games.
Four of the next five teams the Bulls face are squads Chicago beat the last time they met: Detroit, Milwaukee, Charlotte and Minnesota. They did lose to Phoenix, however, this next meeting will take place in Chicago, as will four of the other five games. The Bulls did cover against all but Minnesota.
Here are your projected salaries and target fantasy points to make value (vary between sites):
Joakim Noah (C) $6.3K – Target 30 fantasy points
Derrick Rose (PG) $7.6K – Target 34 fantasy points
Tony Snell (SG) $3K – Target 18 fantasy points
Pau Gasol (PF) $9.3K – Target 37 fantasy points
Joakim Noah – In a perfect world, Noah should have his way with a Detroit squad that permits the 4th most fantasy points to opposing centers and a Bucks team that ranks 19th against centers. He easily made his value and then some versus the Pistons the last time he faced them and will be a strong candidate for one’s roster in their upcoming game.
It’s interesting to note that Noah did struggle against Milwaukee the last time he played them, scoring only two points. He just made value against Minnesota as well and the T-Wolves are a team we’ll want to consider featuring Noah in our roster against as they have given up the 29th most points allowed this season. It helps that this one will be played at home.
Over his last seven games before the All Star Break, Noah has averaged 32.9 fantasy points per game.
Detroit – Strong Go
Phoenix – Hold
Milwaukee – Hold
Charlotte – Hold
Minnesota – Neutral/Go
Pau Gasol – One of the most reliable players in the league bar none. During a six-game stretch before the All Star Break, Gasol was averaging 17 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks per game, which, when you do the math, is well above his value.
The last time Gasol faced Detroit he managed over 50 fantasy points.
The last time he went up against Phoenix he tallied up around 40.
When he faced Milwaukee last Gasol went absolutely ballistic scoring 46 points (not fantasy).
Gasol is one player we would put in our lineup against a solid defending team in the Hornets. The last time he faced Charlotte Gasol did manage over 40 fantasy points.
Then there is Minnesota, for whom Gasol just barely missed making his value primarily due to 5 turnovers the last time he faced the T-Wolves. That won’t stop us from suggesting he be on your roster that day though.

Derrick Rose – He’s consistent, accumulating just shy of 30 fantasy points in each of his last eight games and once above that 30 point mark. Rose, however, needs to be hitting 34 or greater to have any value. If his price were to come down to $6K we’d be in business.
