Clippers Blake Griffin Out for ‘Weeks’ After Hitting Team Staff: Latest Clippers

Clippers Blake Griffin Sidelines for “Weeks” - The LA forward was expected to be out for the next few weeks with no immediate date set for his return after suffering a suspected fracture in his right hand.  ESPN is reporting Griffin sustained the injury “after hitting a member of the team’s equipment staff during an argument in Toronto”.

Griffin was initially sidelined after suffering a torn quadriceps muscle on Christmas Day.

The Clippers haven’t exactly fared poorly in his absence as they have managed to go 11-3 during that time.  Most of those wins, however, have been against sub-par teams.

Griffin is averaging 23.2 points per game, 8.7 rebounds per game, and 5.0 assists per game this season.

The Clippers odds of winning the 2016 NBA Championship were now 25/1 from 20/1 more than a week ago.
