Twenty-four hours after that tough battle of L.A., the Clippers are out on the road to play Sacramento tonight.

L.A fell too far back to the Lakers last night and just couldn’t manage to come back all the way. As a bettor, you’ve got to wonder how much that takes out of a player, especially when they have to go the next night. Sacramento may not be a great team but they are over .500 at home and can’t be taken lightly by the Clippers.

Belmont line and total: L.A. -3 and 206

This is the start of a home-and-home between the two as Sacramento looks to split this four-game homestand with a 2-2 record. They lost 108-100 at home in the only other meeting with L.A. this year, but they were tied at half-time and stumbled down the stretch. The Kings are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six at home vs. the Clippers though and would love to catch them tired after last night. The Kings like to run on you and if they can get out in the open court and build a lead, the Clippers could run out of gas.

Los Angeles understands that and will need to rely on their defense to slow the game down and keep it at a comfortable pace. Last night was the first the Clippers allowed an opponent to score 100 or more in their last 8 games. They win when they are playing well defensively and will need to show that tonight.

The Clippers are 6-15 O/U when playing without rest and they are 3-9 O/U in their last 12 against losing teams. They know that they have to clamp down and beat the teams they are supposed to and they are doing a good job of it. The under has gone 9-3 in the last  12 meetings between the two as 206 is a shade high.

Take the under tonight.
