College Basketball Betting: Cincinnati vs. Georgetown Line, West Virginia vs. U

In today’s College Basketball betting for Monday January 9, 2012 Gambling911.com takes a look at the Cincinnati vs. Georgetown line and the West Virginia vs. UConn line.  You can place your bet at Belmont.com, offering a 25 percent cash signup bonus and in-game betting

Georgetown (13-2) is the -6.5 favorite against Cincinnati (12-4).  The total for this game is 124.5.

The Bearcats have won 4 of the last 5 in this series.

Cincinnati, though, had just one day to practice before boarding their charter flight to Washington following a disappointing home loss to St. John’s on Saturday.
“You’d better be able to get over it, grow up and go get a win,” said UC coach Mick Cronin.

Fortunately, the Bearcats are 6-1 Against The Spread in their last 7 games following an ATS loss and are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss.

The Hoyas are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall but are just 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games following a ATS loss, 1-7 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 1-9 ATS in their lsat 10 vs. the Big East.

The betting public is backing Georgetown on the spread by 75 percent but Gambling911.com sees every opportunity for the Bearcats to cover this 6.5 number

Cincinnati has not lost consecutive games yet and only one of their three season losses was by more than the current spread.

The West Virginia vs. Connecticut game featured a line of -5.5 favoring the Huskies.  These teams have split their last four in the series.

West Virginia just played a tough Georgetown team two nights ago before heading out on the road while UConn is looking to get back on track after losing two consecutive road games as favorites.  They had previously won 7 straight games.

The Huskies are 12-4 Against The Spread in their last 16 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 vs. Big East.

We should see UConn cover the -5.5 line in this game.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
