College Basketball Betting - Syracuse Villanova Odds

Gambling911.com has your college basketball betting and Syracuse vs. Villanova Odds.

The No.1 Orangemen (17-0, 4-0 Big East) ran out to an 18-point lead by halftime, and they had to hold off a furious rally in a 73-66 win at Marquette. The Orangemen needed a test to really challenge them and against a team like Marquette that is in the top 25, it was a stiff test that the Orangemen passed. Kris Joseph had a great all-around game with 17 points, four boards, four assists and three steals, while Brandon Triche added 16 points and seven boards. However, Syracuse’s bench outscored their Marquette counterparts 31-4 and an experienced player that works with sports bookie software will tell you that depth is a major factor in a team’s chances to win the national title. It never hurts to be able to go eight or nine deep in your rotation.

The Wildcats (8-8, 1-3 Big East) snapped a three-game skid with an 87-71 rout of DePaul at home, even though they turned the ball over 28 times. Maalik Wayns poured in a team-high 21 points, along with eight rebounds, while Dominic Cheek posted 20 points and six boards for the Wildcats, who outrebounded the Blue Demons 38-20 and shot a blistering 56% from the field. Villanova is basically an afterthought in the Big East for players that use pay head systems as they opened the conference portion of their slate with losses at West Virginia, Marquette and at home against South Florida, and more shooting nights like the one they had against DePaul would be in order as the Wildcats are hitting just 43% of their attempts from the floor.

Syracuse may be a slight sports betting favorite on the road at Villanova, where they are 2-2 SU and 3-1 ATS in their last four visits, and the Wildcats are 1-6 ATS at home this season, while the Orangemen are 3-0 ATS away from home. The Orangemen are a horrible matchup for the Wildcats, who aren’t a good shooting team and they’re going to struggle to find shots against the long 2-3 zone of Syracuse. Villanova also doesn’t move the ball around very well, and that is going to make matters worse. On offense, the Orangemen are a patient team with veteran leadership, and they should be able to come away with a comfortable college basketball betting victory.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
