College Basketball Free Picks From The Bookie
Sports Interaction betting analyst Al Dannity makes some picks on Saturday's big College Basketball games.
Duke will win all the marbles when North Carolina visits Cameron Indoor Stadium on Saturday. ESPN's College Gameday will be in Durham to see the Blue Devils clinch the ACC title, a #1 seed in March Madness, and a season sweep of the Tar Heels. Duke will win big with Sports Interaction as Coach K seeks to make a statement against Duke's arch-rivals and build up momentum heading into the NCAA tournament.
The mid-major tournaments might be underway but the real action is at-large this weekend on Sports Interaction as the big conference teams look to secure a spot in the NCAA tournament. Nowhere is there more at stake than in the Big East. Notre Dame travels to Marquette knowing a win means the Irish will still be fighting well into March. The Golden Eagles punched their ticket to the dance with a thumping win over Louisville and will have less motivation to win than the visiting Irish. I expect Notre Dame to win as a slight road dog.
Louisville may live to regret its win over Syracuse earlier in the season. But for that loss the Orange would have no reason to care heading into this Saturday's match-up with the Cardinals. Revenge will be in Jim Boeheim's mind and I expect the Orange to win big with Sports Interaction, giving Louisville its second consecutive heavy defeat.
In the Big 12 Texas faces another mauling on the road to a ranked foe this weekend with its trip to Baylor. The Bears have won three in a row and will look to finish the regular season with a big win against former #1 Texas. The Longhorns have fallen out of the AP Top 25 and are playing like a team poised to make an early exit in March. A win for Baylor could earn the Bears a #4 seed and that will be enough to ensure they win big this weekend.
Finally the SEC offers the biggest shot at an upset this weekend. Mississippi State hosts a Tennessee side with nothing to play for. The Vols will be favored against the Bulldogs who are desperate for a win to stay in the hunt for an at-large berth. Bruce Pearl will have one eye on the post-season entering this road game, making the Vols ripe for an upset. Mississippi State will upset the odds with Sports Interaction this Saturday.
