College Basketball Picks for Saturday February 13, 2010
Sports Interaction betting analyst Frank Doyle makes some picks on Saturday's big College Basketball games.
Tennessee suffered a bad beat on Tuesday night when Vanderbilt turned the Volunteers over in Nashville, and the Vols will be barking long and loud when they visit Kentucky on Saturday.
Kentucky has put its blip performance against the Gamecocks well behind it, stomping the opposition by at least ten points in the next four games. Tennessee is better than some of those four teams, but the Vols have had problems all year and those problems are likely to get worse, not better, in the Rupp Arena on Saturday. Kentucky to win big when you bet with Sports Interaction.
While Syracuse is the highest ranked team in the Big East, Villanova is a team that's currently getting some love from bettors as regards being a good priced bet to cut down the nets at the Dance. Depth of talent is the chief reason, and two good wins over Georgetown and West Virginia did a lot for the Wildcats too.
Providence has lost six of its last seven, and come Saturday it'll be seven of its last eight. The Friars are cooked. Villanova to win big when you bet with Sports Interaction.
The Big Ten has been blown wide open by Michigan State and Wisconsin both biting the bullet on Tuesday night. The Spartans went down at home to Purdue while the Badgers lost at home to the Fighting Illini. Purdue will bounce back when Iowa visits West Lafayette on Saturday, but Wisconsin might find it tougher at home against Indiana. But not that tough.
Finally, Maryland visits Duke on Saturday in what is a very dangerous game for the Blue Devils. All Duke's attention this week will have been on North Carolina because of the rivalry, and Maryland are coming up faster on the inside than the Blue Devils may realise. Maryland has its own problems as the bad weather on the East Coast meant that the Terps had to cancel their home game against Virginia. Maryland will start as underdogs but I like the road dogs to cover at the Cameron Indoor Arena when you bet with Sports Interaction.
