Number 11 seed Dayton beat number 2 seed Syracuse Saturday 55-53.

With Syracuse trailing 47-42 with 4 minutes remaining, Tyler Ennis drove to the basket on five of the Orange's next seven possessions, scoring 11 straight points to pull Syracuse within one. However, Ennis took jump shots outside the paint on the Orange's final two possessions, missing both.

Dayton won its games in the Round of 64 and 32 by 2 points or fewer. Of the previous 10 teams to do that, 4 won its Sweet 16 game. Of the 4 which won, 2 advanced to the national championship game.

Number 10 seed Stanford, meanwhile, stunned number 2 seed Kansas on Sunday with a 60-57 victory.

Stanford won despite going 0-for-9 on 3-pointers, tying 1999 UConn for the most 3-point attempts without a make in an NCAA Tournament win.
