Florida vs. BYU Betting Odds

Florida vs. BYU betting odds were available from betED.com (see website here).   This was one of the most wagered on games of the first round of the 2010 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, though the action continued to be somewhat lopsided favoring BYU at 65 percent.

The Gators come into this one having lost four of their last five games.  Their perimeter defense will be tested by the Cougars offense, which shot 42 percent on 3-pointers as a team.

The Gators have a well-balanced attack with five players averaging in double figures, and senior F Dan Werner and sophomore G/F Ray Shipman have provided punch off the bench, Fox Sports points out.

The Gators don't shoot the ball particularly well from the perimeter however, going 30.7 percent on 3-pointers for the regular season and 32.5 percent in 16 SEC games.

It will be tough for BYU to match up against the Gators' three frontcourt starters, who each shoot at least 50 percent from the field, Fox Sports suggests.

Of BYU's five losses, two came against New Mexico and two came against UNLV, indicating that matchups against athletic teams don't always go the Cougars' way, the site points out.

Florida vs. BYU betting odds had BYU as the -5 point favorite.  This one opened at -4 ½.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
