Georgetown at Louisville
Tuesday, 7:00 pm Eastern - ESPN 2

Georgetown will try and break a two-game losing streak on Tuesday as they travel to face Louisville in a game that can be seen on ESPN 2.  The Hoyas are coming off a loss against Syracuse last Thursday while Louisville won at DePaul on Saturday.  Georgetown may be ranked 13th in the country but it is Louisville that has a better Big East conference college basketball betting record.

Louisville is 3.5 point favorite at SBG Global.

Georgetown got 21 points from Austin Freeman and 20 from Greg Monroe but it was not enough to get past Syracuse last week. They may have a difficult time in this game on Tuesday against a Louisville team that has won three straight overall and five of their last six.  In this series, Georgetown has won five of the nine all-time meetings and the teams have split the four games at Louisville.  The last time they met was exactly one year ago when Louisville won 76-58 at Georgetown.

Usually Louisville does well recently against Top 25 teams. They are 14-8 against Top 25 teams over the last three years and Georgetown will be the sixth ranked opponent the Cardinals have faced this season. This season though, the Cardinals are just 1-4 vs. Top 25 teams.  Louisville is all about offense as they average 78.3 points per game which is 26th best in the country. The problem for the Cardinals is that they give up almost 70 points per game.  That can make it tough to cover the spread and Louisville has not been a good team this season vs. the number as they are 8-14 overall and 4-8 ATS at home.

Here is a look at the basketball betting stats for this matchup. The road team in this series is 4-1-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings. The Hoyas are 9-23 ATS in their last 32 vs. the Big East while the Cardinals are 45-21-2 ATS in their last 68 vs. the Big East.  The Cardinals are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games.

Looking at the total, the Under is 6-2 in the Hoyas last 8 road games. The Under is 4-1 in the Cardinals last 5 overall. The Over is 8-3 in the Cardinals last 11 home games.
