Ohio State dismantled Iona Friday with a 95-70 win. Sam Thompson had career highs with 20 points and 10 rebounds on Friday night, part of a dominating performance by Ohio State's high-flying front line, and the Buckeyes ran away to a 95-70 victory over Iona in the second round of the West Regional.

Iowa State, meanwhile, stunned number 7 seed Notre Dame with a 76-58 win Friday.

Freshman forward Georges Niang matched a season high with 19 points and Melvin Ejim added 17 as Iowa State, showing there's a whole lot more than just 3-pointers in its arsenal, dismantled Notre Dame 76-58 on Friday night in the West Regional.

From ESPN.com: What to watch: The real matchup in this game will come when Iowa State has the ball. The Cyclones are one of the 10 most efficient offenses in the country, a group that spreads the floor, plays as many as five guards at a time, shoots a ton of 3s and carves even good defenses up. But the Buckeyes may be the best perimeter defense in the country.

Stat to watch: Iowa State's 3-point shooting. If the Cyclones are making 3s, as they did in their blowout first-round win over Notre Dame, the Cyclones can score to keep up with anybody, even if they aren't guarding particularly well. If they don't make 3s, they can really struggle.
