Number 11 seed Loyola Chicago returns to the NCAA tournament for the first time in 33 years and had a lot of people talking even before their 64-62 win over number 6 seed Miami. After all, they boasted a 28-5 record ahead of that game. They were a +4 underdog against the Canes.
"Make no mistake about it, this is a team very capable of beating Miami," we insisted prior to this win.
It was a buzzer beater that allowed Loyola Chicago to advance to the second round.
Tennessee is a solid team but will certainly have their hands full Saturday. The Vols routed Wright State 73-47 in their opener.
"I was really impressed with our team," Tennessee coach Rick Barnes said. "Because we looked at this team, and they play hard. They do a lot of good things. ... Overall we've got a group of guys that have embraced that talent of working hard, and they've -- we've tried to create our own standard, our own identity in terms of how hard we think we can play on defense and on offense when we stay together and execute."
The College Basketball Betting Power Ratings indicate this line is right on the money at -6.
