Memphis Grizzlies vs. Denver Nuggets NBA odds opened at -11 at SBG Global

This one goes off Monday, 9:05 pm Eastern

The Denver Nuggets host the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday and they really need a good performance after stinking things up at home on Saturday night against San Antonio.  That loss was ugly and it could cost the Nuggets in terms of NBA betting playoff seeding.  The pressure is now on Denver as they need to win their last two games to win the Northwest Division title. The Nuggets are tied with Utah for the division lead with both teams having two games left although Denver holds the tiebreaker edge.

Denver really played poorly on Saturday as they were routed 104-85 at home by San Antonio. "Every loss at this point of the season is costly," said Denver guard Chauncey Billups. The Nuggets were called for four technicals and leading scorer Carmelo Anthony was ejected.

The Nuggets simply have to win this game on Monday and then they probably will need to win at Phoenix on Tuesday. The Jazz finish at Golden State on Tuesday and then host Phoenix on Wednesday. "We've just got to win a couple games," said forward Kenyon Martin, "We'll see. All we've got to do is go out and win."  The Nuggets put themselves into this situation by playing poorly against the Spurs. "You get a little frustrated sometimes when you feel like you're having it rough out there," Billups said. "It was just a rough day for us. They played good, they came in here and played the way they play. Slow the game down, kept us from running and playing the way we like to play."

The Nuggets should win on Monday considering they have owned the Grizzlies. Memphis is 17-40 all-time vs. Denver in the regular NBA betting season and they are just 3-24 all-time at Denver.

The Grizzlies are 16-35 ATS in their last 51 vs. the Northwest. The Grizzlies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Grizzlies are 4-11 ATS in the last 15 meetings in Denver.

The Nuggets are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games. The Nuggets are 3-10-1 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The Nuggets are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. the Southwest.

The Over is 4-1 in the Grizzlies last 5 vs. the Northwest. The Under is 4-0 in the Nuggets last 4 overall. The Under is 6-1 in the Nuggets last 7 home games. The Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Denver between the two teams.
