Miami Heat vs. Detroit Pistons odds opened at Heat -1 ½ with the line since moving up a half point to -2 at SBG Global

This one goes off Friday, 8:05 pm Eastern - NBA-TV

The Miami Heat may have to do without Michael Beasley as they face the Detroit Pistons on Friday in a NBA betting game that can be seen on NBA-TV. The Heat lost 111-103 on Wednesday to Toronto and Beasley injured his knee in the loss.  Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra said that Beasley is questionable at best and maybe even doubtful for the contest. "Mike wants to play. We didn't send him home for a reason, that there's a possibility he could play at some point on this trip," Spoelstra said. The Heat end the three-game road trip at Milwaukee on Saturday.

Heat is a 1 point favorite at SBG Global with total of 188.

Beasley has started every game this season for the Heat and is their second leading scorer at 16 points per game.  He has never missed a game due to injury in his two NBA seasons although he did miss one game last year due to the flu.

Miami comes into this game having lost two straight and if they lose at Detroit on Friday they would fall to the .500 mark.  The Heat simply have not been consistent this season.  They are 11-10 on the road against the spread though which means they can be competitive.  With Beasley probably out on Friday, the Heat will need a big game out of Dwyane Wade and he leads the team in scoring at 27.3 points per game.

The good news for Miami is that they are 4-0 ATS in their last four Friday games.  They are also a very profitable 6-2 ATS in their last eight NBA betting games against the Central Division.  Miami has owned Detroit, going 15-5-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings.

Detroit has played well against the Southeast Division as they are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games against the Southeast.  Detroit has not played well overall though, as they are 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games. They are just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games.

Five of the last six Miami games vs. the Central Division have gone under but overall, five of their last seven on the road have gone over.  Five of Detroit's last six games have gone under and four of their last five at home have gone under.  In this series though, the last four games have all gone over the total.
