NBA All-Star Game Betting for 2023 is Here
Whew!!! So the NBA tradeline has come and gone with some wild storylines. Now it's on to the All-Star Weekend with plenty of great betting to be had.
While we still don't know the All-Star Game rosters (TBD by draft before tipoff), contestants for the other festivities were confirmed Valentine's Day night while many of you were out with your sweetie pies.
BetOnline released odds for the Slam Dunk Contest, 3-Point Contest, Skills Challenge and the Rising Stars game first thing Wednesday morning (February 15).
Of note, Mac McClung, a 6-foot-2 second-year man who’s played all of 38 minutes with the 76ers this season, will compete in the dunk contest.
McClung will be the first white player to compete since Pat Connaughton a few years ago. Brent Barry took home the title with the Spurs in 1996, and Rex Chapman and Bobby Sura are other Caucasian players who've had enough hops to participate in the contest.
Perhaps to no one's surprise, McClung is the longshot of the leapers. However, the website is already reporting that bets are coming in on the former Texas Tech Red Raider (like Patrick Mahomes), forcing his odds to drop from +650 to +475.
