While those betting the spread were not affected by Friday night’s questionable win by the Wizards against the Celtics in Game 6 of the 2017 NBA Playoffs second round, money line gamblers had to be pissed.

The National Basketball Association admitted Saturday there should have had an extra second placed back on the clock to run a final play for Boston in that narrow 92-91 loss.   As a result, Washington has forced a final Game 7.

Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas missed a hurried, off-balance 3-point heave before the buzzer Friday.

It was the first time the home team in this series, counting pre-Playoffs, had failed to cover the spread after doing so nine consecutive times.
