J.R. Smith (Cleveland) - $5K – Minnesota simply cannot defend against the shooting guard position.  Smith had better than 30 Fantasy points last night at a decent price.

Still, it’s not always easy backing a guy who says he’s playing better in Cleveland because “there is less partying”.  Really?

“I think this is the best situation for me, ’cause there’s nothing but basketball. There’s nothing you expect but basketball. There’s nothing, there’s no going out, there’s no late nights. There’s video games, basketball and basketball.”

Wilson Chandler (Denver) - $6.2K – He’s managed to top 6X his value in three of his last five games.  Charlotte is good against opposing small forwards however and whether 30 or more Fantasy points is achievable here remains to be seen.  This one is a close call.

Zach Randolph (Memphis) - $8.2K – In 10 games he hasn’t tallied under 32 Fantasy points.  Expect Randolph to pick up a lot more minutes Saturday with Marc Gasol having to deal with a Thunder team that is solid against centers.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
