Two teams that know each other well meet in the playoffs as the Dallas Mavericks face the San Antonio Spurs. In the last nine seasons, the Spurs and Mavericks have met in the NBA betting playoffs four times. Back in 2001 the Spurs won four games to one while in 2003 the Spurs won four games to two. The Mavericks won in 2006 four games to three, and last year the Mavericks routed the Spurs four games to one. They meet on Sunday in the first game of what should be a great series.

Tim Duncan averaged 26.5 points and 13 rebounds in two games vs. the Mavericks while Nowitzki averaged 28.8 points per game for Dallas. Manu Ginobili missed the playoffs series last year against the Mavericks and he is a key player in this series. Another player who could decide this series is Richard Jefferson. He did not play as well as he could have this NBA betting season for San Antonio but he had a 29-point game and scored in double figures in two other meetings.
