The game goes off Sunday, 8:05 pm Eastern - ESPN

Two teams that know each other well meet in the playoffs as the Dallas Mavericks face the San Antonio Spurs. In the last nine seasons, the Spurs and Mavericks have met in the NBA betting playoffs four times.  Back in 2001 the Spurs won four games to one while in 2003 the Spurs won four games to two. The Mavericks won in 2006 four games to three, and last year the Mavericks routed the Spurs four games to one.  They meet on Sunday in the first game of what should be a great series.

Dallas is a 4-point favorite with a total of 194.5 at SBG Global.

Dallas ended the season as the #2 seed while San Antonio is the #7 seed but in the Western Conference every playoff team won at least 50 games. The Mavericks may be the second seed but they know they could lose in the first round if they don't play well. "We can beat anybody. But if we're not consistent, and we don't get stops, we could be a first-round exit." Dallas forward Dirk Nowitzki said, "That doesn't change the fact that we're the most dominant team, the most talented team, I've ever been on."

The Mavericks won three of the four games against San Antonio this season.  Tim Duncan averaged 26.5 points and 13 rebounds in two games vs. the Mavericks while Nowitzki averaged 28.8 points per game for Dallas.  Manu Ginobili missed the playoffs series last year against the Mavericks and he is a key player in this series.  Another player who could decide this series is Richard Jefferson. He did not play as well as he could have this NBA betting season for San Antonio but he had a 29-point game and scored in double figures in two other meetings.

The Spurs are 18-7 ATS in their last 25 games overall. The Spurs are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog. The Spurs are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 Conference Quarterfinals games. The Spurs are 0-5 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Dallas.

The Mavericks are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Mavericks are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Conference Quarterfinals games. The Mavericks are 16-34-1 ATS in their last 51 games as a home favorite.

The Under is 6-1-1 in the Spurs last 8 road games. The Under is 6-1 in the Mavericks last 7 home games.  The Under is 14-6 in the Mavericks last 20 playoff games as a favorite.
