It shouldn’t surprise anyone that the Oklahoma City Thunder odds to win the 2012 NBA Finals were set at 5 to 1 pretty early in the season.  We knew this was going to be a good team.  You can bet on the 2012 NBA Championship game at BetOnline here and claim up to $900 in FREE CASH for qualified new customers.

What is a huge surprise is that OKC managed to win the Western Conference Finals Wednesday night by beating San Antonio, the favorites to win the Championship, four straight.  Prior to the Thunder’s streak, San Antonio had won 20 straight.

Not only did they beat the Spurs four straight, OKC did it by coming back from a 15 point deficit after Halftime.

The Thunder last played in the NBA Championship in 1996 as the Seattle Super Sonics.

Oklahoma City will play the winner of the Eastern Conference final between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat in the best-of-seven NBA championship series.
