Magic vs. Lakers Betting Odds

Orlando Magic vs. LA Lakers NBA Finals Game 2 betting odds had the Lakers as a -6 ½ favorite at Bookmaker.com.  Prior to Thursday night's dismantling of the Magic by LA, Orlando had beaten the Lakers twice during the regular season.

Orlando looked like a good bet Thursday at +6 odds.  It's interesting that the folks at Bookmaker.com have tacked on the half point to that number this go around, and this helps Magic bettors chances in Game 2.

We here at Gambling911.com believe that Orlando should - at the very least - be able to cover Sunday night.  We have to attribute Thursday night's performance to Orlando's nerves versus The Lakers avenging being swept last year in the finals by Boston.  With Game 1, LA basically avoids such a fate.

The second game of this series sets up nicely for Orlando bettors if they're brave enough to back the young club after the beating they absorbed on Thursday night, North Shore Sports suggests.

"The Magic went 24-8 SU and 21-11 ATS revenging a loss against an opponent this season. They also went 8-4 SU and 7-5 ATS after a loss by 10 points or more, and 10-3 SU & 8-5 ATS when scored 85 points or less their previous game. Those winning trends along with the fact that the Magic were one of the best underdogs the league had to offer this season (15-11 SU, 18-8 ATS) bodes well for an ATS cover in Game 2.

And Orlando Magic vs. LA Lakers NBA Finals Game 2 Betting Odds aren't just about which side will win either.

"Total players take note: Under bettors have cashed their tickets five of the L/6 times these clubs squared off in the Staples Center. The ‘under' holds a 11-9 ATS advantage in Orlando's 20 playoff games to date, while the Lakers have played to the ‘under' in 14 of their 20 post-season battles. The ‘under' is 9-2 ATS in the Lakers l/11 overall, and it's a $$$-making 16-5 ATS in their L/21 Staples Center contests."

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
