Suns vs. T'Wolves Round 1 Playoff Series Betting Preview

Rudy Gobert has made a tremendous impact on the Timberwolves since joining the team in 2022.

“There’s a difference between being the reason you win and being the reason you don’t lose, and Rudy is the reason we don’t lose,” Wolves coach Chris Finch said. “He doesn’t let us lose these games. He’s been this way all season. He’s an incredible floor raiser, and he just brings it and he knows when the team needs him to do this the most.”

Gobert's scoring total prop comes in at over/under 13.5 points for Game 1.

The Wolves led the NBA in defense in 2023-24 with an average of 106.5 points allowed after finishing 18th in the prior season. They hadn’t even been in the top 10 since the departure of Kevin Garnett 17 years ago.

The Suns have manhandled Minnesota over their last ten meetings, going 9-1 during that time.

For this series, the lines should be Suns +4.5 in Minnesota and a Pick'Em in Phoenix, but the past lopsided history will be factored into the number.

Jusuf Nurkic is scoring 10.9 points per game and averaging 11.0 rebounds for the Suns. Devin Booker is averaging 25.4 points and 3.0 rebounds over the last 10 games.  Booker is listed with an over/under 25.5 scoring prop total for this game.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
