There have been a plethora of upsets so far in this tournament and there have been some very big surprises. There are also still some great teams left and they will be most difficult to beat. Such as Kansas, Villanova, Kentucky, Duke, West Virginia and Purdue. All of the teams on the right side of the bracket are good and they are all legitimate contenders. Syracuse is a surprise but they have played like nails and Duke could have some problems with them. It will all be first half problems and they will adjust but look for a great game. Finding ways beyond diversity is what Gonzaga does so very well. Just when you think they are dead, they sneak up and tag their opponent. They love the element of surprise and Mark Few is a master motivator. They won’t sneak up on The Florida State Seminoles. Florida State was 3-0 in overtime games against eventual NCAA Tournament teams and rallied to beat Clemson; still alive in the Midwest Region after trailing by 18.

Gonzaga was off for nine days between their last game of the season and the first game of the tournament, there were obvious signs of rust in the first game against UNC-Greensboro but they got over it fairly quickly in the second game against Ohio State.
