Eric Williams of BetUS.com (see website here) is predicting at least one upset for the 2010 Sweet 16 round, which kicks off Thursday (today, March 25).  His Sweet 16 predictions have St. Mary's beating Duke.

"The top-seeded Duke Blue Devils (31-5 SU, 20-13-2 ATS) may be the favorite to win this region, but I don't like the Dookies or their odds here.

"First and foremost, I'm not sure they get past the fourth-seeded Purdue Boilermakers (24-10 SU, 19-11 ATS) on their next contest. I have them squeaking by, but I won't say an emphatic win is  in order for the Blue Devils.

"I genuinely believe the winner of the St. Mary's Gaels (28-5 SU, 21-10 ATS) versus Baylor Bears (27-7 SU, 17-10 ATS) matchup will go on to upset the Blue Devils should they reach the Elite Eight.

"No. 10 St. Mary's is a near-mirror ballclub to the Blue Devils except that they're smarter and have a better low post presence than Duke. I also like the third-seeded Baylor Bears to upset the Blue Devils should they take down the Gaels, which I think they will, making my South region winner the Baylor Bears."
