The Texas vs. Nevada betting line had the Wolf Pack as a -1 favorite.  SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE

Charlie Creme writes that “this Wolf Pack squad might be the best team Reno has ever seen. But is it ready to take the next step and win its first NCAA tournament game in 11 years?”

This Wolf Pack team, with three elite, versatile scorers in Jordan Caroline and the Martin twins (Cody and Caleb), is extremely efficient (8th in the country).  The one problem here, Nevada is banged up.

The Wolf Pack lost point guard Lindsey Drew to a ruptured Achilles tendon while Caleb Martin is playing with a sprained ligament in his foot.  Kendall Stephens, the team's best 3-point shooter, has ligament damage in his shooting thumb. And Caroline is now playing with a broken finger on his non-shooting hand.

They went 27-7 Straight Up and were hovering right around the .500 mark Against The Spread.

Texas comes into this game with only a 19-14 Straight Up record and were also right around the .500 mark ATS.  They won't get anywhere close to a championship but will likely pull off the victory due to Nevada's injuries, especially since the Power Ratings indicate the Longhorns line should be at -1.
