Brian Mulligan of BetOnline had this to offer about the upcoming Thunder-Spurs series:

The strength of both teams shooting guards is the reserve. In the case of OKC, it’s the Sixth Man of the Year in James Harden. For San Antonio, it’s the cagey veteran Manu Ginobili.

Harden has the youth and the versatility, but the edge goes to the Spurs because of experience.

It’s hard to believe that Tony Parker started in the playoffs 9 years ago as a 21-year-old but that’s a fact. He is coming off arguably his best career year and has shown leadership qualities that were never there before.

For the Thunder, Russell Westbrook is an absolute dynamo. He penetrates, can hit the outside shot and is fearless going to the glass. Slight edge to Westbrook because of his ability to ramp it up and change the complexion of a game.

The bench edge goes to San Antonio with the Red Rocket, Matt Bonner, Gary Neal backing up Parker and Jackson off the pine.

Coaching edge also goes to the Spurs as Gregg Popovich has once again proven he is one of the best ever in the business.

As high as OKC has to be after knocking off Los Angeles, make no doubt about it they are hooking a buzz saw. The Spurs have been rolling like a perfect 300 game at the bowling alley and they know in the back of their collective heads that their window is closing.

In all home games, the Spurs are 27-8 Against The Spread this season.

San Antonio is 7-3 ATS when playing Oklahoma City.  They are 8-2 Straight Up in the series.

After scoring 105 points or more, OKC is 7-18 ATS.
