The Zags come into this game with just two losses on the season playing against the lowest seed still alive UCLA. The Bulldogs were listed as a -8.5 favorite heading into Friday.
The number two seeded Bulldogs took care of business against Iowa early, thus securing an 87-68 victory.
"There's no greater feeling than this, because I haven't been able to experience it, and most of the guys in the locker room haven't," Zags guard Kevin Pangos said after the game. "So for us to be able to get past this is definitely a great feeling. But it's not like we were stressing over what people were talking about. We just wanted to do it selfishly for ourselves and our fan base."
Gonzaga has already faced UCLA this season, beating them back in December by 13 points.

Number 11 seed UCLA stunned UAB Saturday with a 92-75 victory. They became the 7th team since 2010 to advance to the Sweet 16 as an 11 seed. UCLA entered this season's NCAA Tournament with 13 losses, just the 5th Pac-12 team to enter an NCAA Tournament with as many as 13 losses.
