Xavier and the Over Giving Bookies Fits

Number 7-ranked Xavier has been hot Against The Spread, going 18-12.  Bookies have also been tormented this season by Xavier games tending to trend towards the OVER.

The betting public tends to favor the OVER in totals wagering and this has not boded well for bookies taking heavy action on the Musketeers, especially those in the Cincinnati region, home of Xavier University.

So far this season, the OVER has gone 19-11.  In recent games, the OVER has occurred in eight of the last ten games (as of March 6, 2016).

Xavier survived a late run by Creighton on Saturday, helping to lead to yet another OVER.

With March Madness just around the corner, Xavier’s potentially to make the Final Four finally looks promising.

For the past two decades, Xavier basketball has become synonymous with busting your bracket, writes Rickey O’Donnell of SBNation.

There's no gimmick with this year's Musketeers, no hefty Uber driver slowing down the offense, no dependence on a glorified chucker to carry the scoring burden. Instead, Xavier looks the part of a real contender: deep, balanced, experienced and stocked with a variety of weapons that gives Mack ample lineup flexibility. If there was ever a year for Xavier, this could be it.

Regional bookies have found they can reduce losses and improve profit margins by offering live in-play wagering and an online casino platform, each of which is impulse-driven and available at most of today’s top Pay Per Head operators.
