Gamecocks Favorite to Win Women's Championship

The South Carolina Gamecocks will be getting some decent betting action on the women's side.  They are favorites to win the 2023 Champioinship at -180 odds.

The Gamecocks easily advance to the next round after defeating Norfolk State University 72-40.

During the first few minutes, the Gamecocks extended their lead to 32 points, with a 58-26 lead at the 8:09 point of the period.

The Gamecocks remain undefeated this season and take on the South Florida Bulls (27-6) Sunday at 1:00 PM ET (on March 19).

Furman Stuns UVA

For the first time since 1974, the Furman Paladins have advanced beyond the first round of the NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament.  This is only their seventh appearance and their first since 1980.

JP Pegues' 3-pointer with 2.4 seconds left lifted 13th-seeded Furman to a 68-67 past favored No. 4 seed Virginia.

Jalen Slawson had 19 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, while Marcus Foster added 14 points. Pegues and Mike Bothwell finished with 11 points apiece for Furman, which won for the 15th time in its past 16 games.

Furman is set to take on SDSU Saturday afternoon as a +5.5 dog.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
