The betting frenzy continues in and around Columbus, Ohio has the Buckeyes look to advance to the Big Dance in college Basketball. Betting is available on the Buckeyes at BetOnline, which offers a generous welcome bonus (max bonus $1000).
How the Buckeyes Replace Their Biggest Losses in Football
There will be big holes in the offense with Heisman finalist QB C.J. Stroud now exiting. He put up big numbers ever since he was named the starter: 8,123 yards and 85 passing touchdowns.
Waiting in the wings, Quinn Ewers. He was the No. 1 quarterback in the class of 2021, transferred to Texas. The other quarterback, Kyle McCord, is now in line to start in 2023 for Ohio State and was the No. 31 prospect overall.
Buckeyes Close But No Cigar
No. 13 seed Ohio St. reached the semifinals after beating the Spartans 68-58 on Friday March 10. They were set to face off against Purdue, a team with just five losses on the season, Saturday. The Buckeyes opened as a +6.5 dog.
Bruce Thornton had 21 points and six assists, freshman Roddy Gayle Jr. scored seven of his season-high 15 points.
The Buckeyes were without leading scorer Brice Sensabaugh, at 16.3 points per game, due to knee soreness.
Ohio State (16-18) became the lowest seed, at No. 13, to ever reach the Big Ten semifinals.
Though they won five of their last six ahead of the game versus Purdue, Ohio State endured a brutal strech of nine losses prior to that time.
Ultimately the Buckeyes failed to advance into the NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament in 2023.
